Haumann Petra as Ilonka Harmos, wife of Dezső Kosztolányi
A spectacular revue exploring the depths of the female soul.
Blending the writings of Frigyes Karinthy and Dezső Kosztolányi’s wife, this one-woman show brings the distinctive spirit and worldview of Karinthy to life from a woman’s perspective, while also offering a glimpse into Frigyes Karinthy’s private life.
“I have been reading Karinthy’s works since my teens, and they have always been very close to my heart. The foundation of this play was Dezsőné Kosztolányi’s book About Frigyes Karinthy, which we enriched with Karinthy’s monologues. This is how we managed to piece together a distinctly feminine take on Karinthy.”
